Lab Life
Welcome! The Magzoub lab is located in New York University Abu Dhabi on Saadiyat Island, a quiet island surrounded by beautiful beaches and graceful nature. Saadiyat is a growing cultural hub for Abu Dhabi and is only a short ride from the bustling center city. We make the most of the diverse entertainment and culture in our lab outings, from going out to chique brunch spots or even riding sand dunes for a bit of excitement!
Prospective Students
We are always excited to meet proactive students that are passionate about science. Our Capstone students research a diverse set of topics, often with collaborators at NYU Abu Dhabi and other academic institutions. Many have also had their work published in high impact journals. If you're interested, please check out the Capstone Project summaries below, as well as some as some of our research, and feel free to reach out to Dr. Magzoub to discuss potential projects.
Capstone Projects are year-long endeavors that senior NYU Abu Dhabi students undertake in their respective fields of study. Under the supervision of Dr. Magzoub and postdoctoral researchers, students in our lab learn to design and conduct experiments to answer a research question pertaining to drug development and/or delivery strategies for cancer or amyloid diseases.
Below are some short video summaries of our students' Capstone Projects. For more information, please contact Dr. Magzoub.
Academic Year 2019 - 2020: Students Laura Karpauskaite and Shake Karapetyan briefly describe their projects.
